This blog centers on the theme of rebellion within punk music. Punk music originally was hard and fast with lyrics about anti-authority and politics. It started in the 70’s and continues to lead to new sub-genres forming today. I thought it was interesting how punk brought a new culture including ideas, fashion, and art. Since I listen to mostly sub-genres of punk, it would be easier to work with bands I'm more familiar with. Some of the sub-genres I'll discuss include pop-punk and hardcore.
